ABOUT US >

Rural Education And Development Society (READS) is a registered Voluntary Organization involved in Education, Health, Skill Training, MR Residential Special School, Micro Financial Lending to SHG members and Rural Development Activities in Tamilnadu and Puducherry. Seven young professionals and like minded peoples have joined together and started this organization in 1992. It has been registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975 and also with MHA, New Delhi under FCRA. It's main focus is empowering the poor people in remote rural villages of Districts of Tamilnadu and Puducherry. It believes in people's ability to respond their own situations by creating awareness on their needs and the resources available to them to satisfy their needs through collective efforts
